MANDOULIDES IS EASTERN THESSALONIKI HIGH SCHOOLS CHAMPION

Mandoulides Schools won the Eastern Thessaloniki High Schools championshipfor the fourth consecutive year. Mandoulides dominated the final over Aristotle College with a score 67 points over 42, the game being judged from the first minutes during which the winners applied their rhythm and took advantage to score.

"Congratulations to the players of both schools for their excellent behavior both on and off the court, as well as to the Physical Education Office of Eastern Thessaloniki for its flawless organization", said Efthimios Chasiotis, Mandoulides Schools basketball manager, and continued: "Despite the given financial difficulties, I hope that the Ministry of Education will rise to the occasion and continue the championship until the end".

VALUABLE EXPERIENCE AND SECOND PLACE FOR MANDOULIDES


MAS Mandoulides children’s team returned from Patra to Thessaloniki with significant experience after participating in the 13th "Dimitris Seitanidis Tournament" organized by the local team Esperos. Our team ranked second, after beating the organizing team and Panionios and being defeated by the very good SNP Beograd team from Serbia. The officials of MAS Mandoulides thank Esperos Patron for the excellent organization and hospitality, and special thanks go to president Mr. Marlapekas, the head of the coaching staff Kostas Petropoulos, and the overall leader Mr. Logothetis.

MANDOULIDES IS EASTERN THESSALONIKI HIGH SCHOOLS CHAMPION

















Once again Mandoulides Schools won the Eastern Thessaloniki High Schools championship, beating Aristotelio College by 67 - 64 in the grand final held in the overcrowded by students of both schools closed Mikra court, after a thrilling match.

Mandoulides is the only school in the world to have won three world medals and six national championships. After the match, mathematics teacher and Mandoulides director of sports, Makis Hasiotis said: “It was a very good game, worthy of the history of both schools, and the best and calmest won. Congratulations to the athletes-students and their coaches. We are moving on to win the Greek championship. Also, many congratulations to the Eastern Thessaloniki physical education office, to the head Alexandros Doumpas and his colleagues on the excellent organization”.

APOLLON DELIGEORGIS IN THE 8th BASKETBALL CAMP



Mandoulides Schools’ student and MAS MANDOULIDES basketball player, Apollon Deligeorgis was selected by the NBA and FIFA EUROPE among the best European players of his age to take part in the 8th Basketball Camp, which was held in Barcelona from 14th to 20th September 2010. This unique distinction proves once more the organised work done at MAS MANDOULIDES.

Apollon Deligeorgis as well as everybody else (coaches - co-players) who contributed to this distinction deserve our congratulations.

One more national title was secured in U-19 teams by MAS Mandoulides. In the final phase of the 37th Junior National Championship, which  was concluded in Gefyra, Thessaloniki, the team won all their five opponents with a big difference in scores and became national champions for the year 2009 - 2010. This success is the second one for the teen team, while in the history of the team there are another seven equal titles on kids’ level. What is more, MAS Mandoulides player Dimitris Katsivelis was voted as the most valuable player of the tournament, while he and Giannis Karathanasis were placed among the five best players of the championship.
